ok so here is an update after a long hiatus......the project board used to make the sides should have been painted......the wood began to de-laminate causing the sides of my boat to become individual planks....found a relatively cheap fix....a little wood putty to fill in the cracks, and a generous varnishing of tite bond ii.....then some paint....she's almost seaworthy again!
